John Mongiovi told West Palm Beach police he “could not help himself” as he sat in a Palm Beach County Jail cell Monday night.
The 45-year-old said he had to “pleasure himself” because he’d heard a woman and “saw her through the crack in the window blind,” he told police.

The West Palm Beach man now is charged with indecent exposure in public, in addition to the felony theft charges that originally landed him in jail, court records show.
Police say video footage from earlier that day shows Mongiovi and another man stealing more than $300 worth of hygienic products from the Target store on Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard.
Mongiovi and Dean Fishman went to the store twice Monday, according to a police report. They are accused of stealing body spray, deodorants and Axe products.
Mongiovi is being held in the Palm Beach County Jail on a $15,000 bond, court records show. Fishman, also arrested on theft charges, also remained in the jail, with his bail set at $6,500, according to online records.
